MarekSenicky, the inventor of FilaMaker, a 3D printed wire personal manufacturing device, recently designed and used a 3D printer to create a kitchen waste shredder.

The kitchen waste shredder is a big helper for kitchen waste recycling. Marek designed a small FilaMaker shredder that safely smashes kitchen waste. It can be used to treat organic waste, such as vegetables, but not wood, bone or cooked meat.
Marek has developed a total of three versions for this small garbage shredder. Version 1 has a maximum torque of 25 nm. Version 2 uses a ball bearing with a bore diameter of 20 mm and can withstand torques up to 50 NM. The latest third version of the pulverizer uses a bearing with a bore diameter of 30 mm and can withstand a torque of 70 nm.
It is understood that this shredder has 33 3D printed parts, and it takes about 40 hours to print with PLA material. In addition, he also bought 23 standard size screws, 4 ball bearings and 2 square tubes for a total of 25 euros. The PLA material used a total of about one kilogram. So the total cost is about 50?60 Euro
"I hope this version will be the basis for future product models," Marek said. Marek disclosed the design drawings of this shredder. If you are interested, you can download it and try it out.
