Recently, the key technology research and application project for standardization of distribution automation terminal undertaken by State Grid Corporation of China National Grid Nanrui Beijing Kedong Co., Ltd. has passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements organized by the China Institute of Electrical Engineering. The appraisal committee unanimously held that the project has a novel design concept and a correct technical route. The overall research results have reached internationally advanced and domestic leading levels, with significant economic and social benefits, and it is recommended to strengthen the promotion and application of the results.

The key technology research and application projects of the distribution automation terminal standard carry out research on technical specifications of distribution automation terminals, software and hardware development platforms, secondary security protection programs, and operation and maintenance management tools, etc., and proposes covering technologies, types, inspections, installations, Specification for distribution automation terminal series such as operation and maintenance management; development of standardized distribution automation terminals with extensible and interchangeable boards; realization of plug-and-play functions for distribution automation terminals; and development of hardware encryption based on security authentication protocols The unit and the security master module realize the standardization of status monitoring, function configuration and file management of the distribution automation terminal. The distribution automation terminal developed by the project has been put into trial operation in the distribution network of five provinces in Beijing, Tianjin, Fujian, Liaoning and Qinghai. The research results have played an active role in promoting the standardization of distribution automation and improving the practical level of distribution automation.
