About the quality problems and solutions involved in the production process of PE pipes

PE pipes often have some unexpected quality problems in the production process, which is generally caused by problems with equipment or raw materials. The following is a summary of PE pipe quality problems and their solutions.
Ripple on the surface of the pipe:
Reason: 1 Insufficient cooling 2 The size of the sealing ring is not suitable, forming a vibration phenomenon.
Solution: Increase the sizing amount of water or increase the distance between the mouth and the sizing sleeve. Check if the vacuum groove seal is small. If it is small, replace or properly reduce the vacuum of the first vacuum chamber and increase the vacuum of the second vacuum chamber.
Surface pitting (mainly the inner wall):
Reasons: (1) Impurities in the raw materials (2) The inner wall of the mouth and the core are not cleaned cleanly. (3) The local temperature is too high, leading to aging.
Solution: (1) Check the raw material (2) clean or transition for a period of time (3) check the temperature sensor.
Bright spots on the surface:
Cause: The sizing amount is insufficient.
Solution: increase the sizing amount of water or replace the sizing sleeve with large water volume.
The inner and outer walls are axially rough:
Reason: The water content of the raw material is too high.
Solution: Raw material drying treatment
Surface pit:
Reasons: (1) Material tide, bubble rupture (2) The sizing amount is not uniform.
Solution: (1) Drying of raw materials (2) Adjusting the amount of water or replacing the sizing sleeve
The surface is not bright:
Cause: The melt temperature is not suitable or there is a problem with the raw material
Solution: Adjust melt temperature or replace raw materials
Outer surface scratches:
Reason: sandstone is attached to the sizing sleeve, support plate or seal ring
Solution: Clean the sizing sleeve, support plate or seal
Outer surface waterline:
Reason: The local water eye of the sizing sleeve is blocked, causing the water volume of individual water eyes to be too large.
Solution: Clean the sizing sleeve
Inner wall groove (appears in wall thickness pipe):
Cause: The wall thickness is too thick, and the melt is difficult to cool, resulting in flow.
Solution: Try the central cooling system to reduce the temperature of the mouth and core touch.
Uneven wall thickness:
Reasons: (1) The mouth touch or core touch bolt is loose, and the gap between the mouth and the touch is not properly adjusted. (2) The temperature of the mouth or core touch is uneven, resulting in inconsistent flow. (3) The sizing sleeve is not aligned with the mouth, the spiral splitting shuttle or the screen is blocked.
Solution: (1) tighten the bolt or adjust the mouth gap (2) check the heating ring and temperature sensor (3) adjust the sizing sleeve and the mouth to touch the split shuttle or screen.
Low elongation at break:
Reasons: (1) Poor quality of raw materials (2) Increased orientation and increased cleanliness
Solution: (1) adjust the process temperature, enhance the plasticizing effect (2) increase the distance between the mouth and the sizing sleeve.
Large ovality:
Reason: gravity
Solution: Add calibration device
