AQSIQ: China's manufacturing quality competitiveness is stable and rising

According to reports, the quality competitiveness index is an economic and technical indicator generated according to a specific mathematical method and used to reflect the overall level of China's manufacturing quality competitiveness. According to the different statistical scope of the original data, the national manufacturing quality competitiveness index, the manufacturing sub-industry quality competitiveness index and the sub-regional manufacturing quality competitiveness index can be formed accordingly.
In the National Manufacturing Quality Competitiveness Index last year, the scores of five statistical indicators, such as product quality grade rate, product supervision and sampling pass rate, research and experimental development fund proportion, new product sales proportion, and average product sales revenue, were compared with 2007. The increase was 0.46, 4.59, 1.30, 1.36, 1.70, respectively, and the growth was obvious.
The communique shows that China's manufacturing R&D investment has been increasing, and the speed of product upgrading has accelerated. The research and experimental development funds of large and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises nationwide reached more than 250 billion yuan, an increase of 26.71% over 2007. The proportion of main business income increased from 0.90% in 2007 to 0.96%. The total sales revenue of the products has accumulated to more than 5 trillion yuan, with a growth rate of 25.50%.
In addition, the scale of the company has continued to expand and the concentration of the industry has further increased. The average product sales revenue of large and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises reached 737 million yuan, an increase of 8.38% over 2007, and the ability to compete with foreign companies continued to increase.
The raw data of this index comes from the National Bureau of Statistics and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. The main statistical caliber is large and medium-sized industrial enterprises. The statistics in the communique do not include the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province.
