1 Scope

This standard specifies the signs for earthquake emergency shelters and related emergency facilities, equipment and surrounding road indications.

This standard applies to natural disasters such as earthquakes. It also applies to emergency evacuation shelters and evacuation road signs for emergency evacuation of parks, public green spaces, city squares, stadiums, school sports fields, and other emergency settings.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

3.1

Emergency response

Preparations for various types of defense and mitigation before the occurrence of natural disasters such as destructive earthquakes or other major emergency events, and emergency rescue and disaster relief operations following the occurrence of natural disasters such as earthquakes or other major emergency events.

Various emergency preparations before the occurrence of a destructive earthquake and emergency rescue and relief operations after the earthquake.

3.3

Earthquake emergency evacuation shelter

After a destructive earthquake or other natural disaster occurs or in other emergency situations, it is a safe place for residents to evacuate and temporarily live.

5 The principle of flag setting

The principles for the setting of signs for earthquake emergency shelters shall follow the provisions of Chapter 13 of GB/T 15566-1995 and GB 5768-1999.

6 The structure of the logo

The construction of signs for earthquake emergency shelters shall comply with the provisions in Chapter 14 of GB 5768-1999.

7 Reflective and Lighting of Signs

The reflection and lighting of signs for earthquake emergency shelters shall comply with the provisions in Chapter 15 of GB5768-1999.

8 Signs in the color and logo of Chinese characters, Arabic numerals, Latin letters (Large) to write letters
8.1 The color of the emergency evacuation shelter signs shall comply with the provisions in Appendix A of GB5768-1999.
8.2 The characters of the emergency evacuation shelter signs shall comply with the provisions of Appendix B of GB5768-1999.
8.3 The Arabic numerals of the earthquake emergency shelter mark shall comply with the provisions of Appendix C of GB5768-1999.
8.4 Earthquake emergency refuge places The Latin and uppercase letters of the sign shall comply with the provisions of Appendix D of GB 5768-1999.

9.1 Earthquake Emergency Shelters Signs shall be produced in strict accordance with the pattern specified in this standard and shall not be modified.
9.2 Earthquake emergency refuge places The shape, size, pattern, and characters of the signage shall conform to the provisions of this standard. The production of sign boards should refer to the provisions of Appendix E of GB5768-1999.

10 mark setting position
10.1 Signs of earthquake emergency shelters should be set up in the earthquake emergency shelter and nearby major roads and intersections.
10.2 Signs of emergency evacuation shelters should be provided with visible locations in the emergency evacuation shelters so that residents can easily see the location.
10.3 It is difficult to determine the location of the emergency evacuation shelter signs and the opinions of the earthquake agencies should be solicited.

11 Setting Height of Signs

The height of the lower edge of the road markings around the earthquake emergency evacuation site shall be in accordance with Article 7 of Chapter 13 of GB 5768-1999; the height of the signboard in the emergency evacuation shelter may be determined according to the specific conditions.

Remarks: The technical contents of Chapter 4, Chapter 6, Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 of the standard are mandatory, and the remaining chapters are recommended.
