Japan's big business manufacturing sentiment fell to a new low in March

According to the Kyodo News Agency, the Bank of Japan released the results of the short-term economic observation survey (short-view) of the company on the 1st. The business judgment index (DI), which shows the business climate, was negative 58 in the manufacturing industry, down 34 points from December 2008, the lowest and largest decline since the 1974 survey began.
The equipment investment plan also fell to a new low, indicating that the current business environment of the company is worse than the oil crisis.
The manufacturing industry of large enterprises has been in decline for six consecutive quarters, and DI has also been negative for three consecutive surveys. The sentiment of SMEs is generally depressed.
The DI is calculated by subtracting the proportion of companies that believe that the business is "good" from the proportion of companies that are considered "poor".
