MDF brief introduction and basic classification
MDF (English): High Density Board (wood) is also called fiberboard. It is made by immersing wood, branches and other objects in water, then hot grinding, paving and hot pressing. It is made of wood fiber or other plant fiber. An artificial board made of urea-formaldehyde resin or other suitable adhesive. Because of its soft and impact resistance, the strength is high, the density is uniform after pressing, and it is easy to reprocess, but the disadvantage is that the water resistance is poor. Medium and high-density boards are made by crushing and grinding small-diameter wood under high temperature and high pressure. It is now widely used, and MDF is one of the best man-made boards in China. Basic classification According to the density, it can be divided into high density board, medium density board, low density board (medium density board density is 550 kg-880 kg/m3, high density board density ≥880 kg/m3 or more). Common specifications are 1220*2440mm and 1525*2440mm. The thickness is: 3mm, 5mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm. MDF is divided into ordinary type, furniture type and load-bearing according to "MDF" (GB/T 11718).
