Samsung Electronics and Korean telecom operator LG U+ announced yesterday that they will team up to jointly develop 5G technology.
With the continuous maturity and rapid development of 3D printing technology, more and more industries are beginning to apply 3D printing technology, such as medical and health, aerospace, military, etc., and today this technology has also been extended to the automotive industry. According to the British "Daily Mail" report, the US DM company announced the successful use of 3D printing to create a super-sports car called "Blade", which is lighter in weight and more consumable than traditional sports cars. According to the company, the "blade" weighs only about 630 kilograms, which is 90% lighter than conventional cars. Unlike the one-shot molding of other 3D printing products, DM does not use 3D technology to print the entire vehicle, but uses a piece of Lego-like block to create a super-run. First, a series of aluminum "nodes" were printed. After about 30 minutes of manual assembly by workers, the ready-made carbon fiber tubes were connected with aluminum "nodes", and the chassis of the car was easily assembled. The printed carbon fiber casing and various components are then mounted on each interface position, so that the strength of the vehicle body is correspondingly enhanced, and it is more durable than the automobile manufactured by the conventional technology. As a super-run, the "Blade" is powered by a 700-horsepower engine that burns natural gas and gasoline. In addition, because of the light weight of the vehicle, it accelerates from a standstill to 96 kilometers per hour in just two seconds, making it easy to rank among the top super-runners. It is understood that the company plans to mass produce 10,000 "blade" per year, and will also provide manufacturing technology transfer, so that other car manufacturers can also use this technology to produce all types of cars in a lower and more environmentally friendly way. The company said that this method is less polluting, less material-consuming, and less costly. It is suitable for small manufacturing teams to set up their own micro-factories and create their own sports car works.
