Prior to this, the high-temperature wide-band electromagnetic parameter calibration project for radome materials won the first prize for the 2016 National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award.

According to Zhang Na, the person in charge of the project, currently the developed countries such as the United States and Germany have established a complete calibration system for electromagnetic parameters of materials. China's material testing is still in the low-end level, although the detection equipment has basically met the domestic demand, but in the high-end applications, domestic testing equipment can not fully meet the demand.

Although the parameters of the electromagnetic parameters of the material are relatively single, they will change with external conditions such as temperature and frequency. Therefore, although there are many domestic testing methods, no comprehensive measurement capability has been formed.
