The ingenious design of this tooling design is to use the variable component concept in the group technology to design a series of variable bases for the uniformity of the parts in our design, and to realize the standardization of tooling with different processing parameters. . In applications where variable batch similar parts are machined, the base can also be designed as an adjustable component to suit the requirements.

3. Tooling design of pin parts

The pin parts are one of the key parts in the combination of the transmitting and receiving antennas of a product I produced. The structure is shown in Figure 5 (the dotted line is the shape of the blank in the milling process). The material is beryllium bronze, which is small in size and difficult to process. Moreover, the key point of this part is that the 0.7mm narrow table is required to be symmetrical with the 0.7mm round table, and its dimensional accuracy is directly related to the electrical parameters. With the requirements of different electrical parameters of various antennas, the size of 0.7mm has a series of choices, which constitute the design conditions of the group fixture.

When using the tooling, different upper and lower pressure blocks are selected according to the different pin parts. The upper pressing block is used as the positioning reference for the 0.7mm round table of the pin parts. The drilling hinge is matched with the hole to ensure the symmetry with the outer shape. The counter-drilling counterbore leads to the hole 0.7mm. Easy to remove parts. The upper and lower clamps are designed with a recess that is compatible with the part width of 2.1 mm, which basically defines the shape of the blank. Then, it is placed between the upper and lower bases, and is screwed tightly to process a 0.7 mm narrow table. After the machining is completed, loosen the screws slightly (without removing), and the lower base is loosened by gravity to remove the clamp and remove the parts.

The key point of this set of milling pin parts is that the upper and lower pressure blocks are designed into groups, and the precision of the tooling is used to ensure the symmetry of the narrow parts of the parts, which greatly reduces the difficulty and labor intensity of the parts processing; The narrow size of the pin parts ensures the stability during narrow bench processing. At the same time, the upper and lower bases are used as universal bases, which can be applied to the processing of a variety of small parts, and also reflects considerable economical.
