Volvo recalls some imported trucks due to bolt defects

AQSIQ reported on the 15th that Volvo Trucks has decided to recall some of the 2010 Volvo FM, FH and FE trucks imported from the 15th due to bolt defects in the steering system connecting the steering arm and the steering knuckle. According to the company's statistics, 82 vehicles are involved in the Chinese mainland, and the production date is from November 29, 2010 to January 21, 2011.

The cause of the defect is that the bolts connecting the steering arm and the steering knuckle in the steering system of the vehicle may cause longitudinal cracks and there is a risk of fatigue damage. If corrosion occurs, the life of the bolt will be shortened. In the most serious case, the bolt will be cut, which will affect the safety of driving.

Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will conduct a free inspection of all models that may be affected, and replace the bolts connecting the steering arm and the steering knuckle to eliminate the hidden troubles. For stock vehicles, they will be sold after the defects are eliminated.

Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will notify relevant known customers and invite them to contact the nearest authorized service center to arrange related free inspections and replacements. Users can call the service hotline at 400-818-8999 for consultation. Owners can also log in to the AQSIQ website, the Import and Export Commodity Inspection section, the Defective Product Management Center website, the China Auto Recall Network, or call the QC's Defective Product Management Center hotline at 010-59799616, 65537365 for more information.
