3 application examples

The camber indexing cam mechanism (see Fig. 2) is particularly suitable for high speed and high precision indexing due to its compact structure and high transmission torque. Because of its indexing motion curve, it can be designed to be suitable for the optimal motion curve of various working places, so as to have good performance in terms of motion stability, noise reduction, and extended mechanism life. 3 is a contour surface illumination diagram of a camber indexing cam tensor product surface generated by four EB splines, the shape of which is a spatial spiral band.

With the assistance of Qinchuan Machine Tool Plant and Qing'an Company, the LK and UKM coordinate measuring machines were used to measure the specimens of the camber indexing cam in both radial and rotational directions. According to the above measurement and error assessment methods, the error evaluation software of the camber indexing cam was developed by Visual C++. The design parameters of the sampling parts are shown in the attached table. Figure 4 shows the error plot of the sample on a spiral of R = 57 mm. The design requirements for the part are: ± 0.05 mm for the curve error and a two-way equidistant configuration with a tolerance of 0.1 mm for the profile tolerance. The evaluation result of the part is: the spiral contour error of the cam radius of 57 mm is 0.147 mm, and the surface profile error is 0.165 mm.
