In machining, V-shaped iron is an essential support, positioning and clamping attachment. The traditional V-shaped irons are all monolithic structures, and the processes of preparation, heat treatment, etc. are complicated and the cycle is long. To this end, we designed a combination of adjustable V-shaped iron as shown. The combined V-shaped iron is mainly composed of a base 1, a conical support post 3, a adjusting washer 2, a fastening screw 4, and the like. The base 1 uses a lathe to machine two planes and four sides. The plurality of sets of assembly hole sets for assembling the conical support columns 3 are machined by a drill press using a suitable fixed ruler on the drill press. Different sets of holes can be assembled into V-shaped irons of different sizes. As shown in the figure, if three cylindrical supports A, B, and C are respectively loaded into the holes a, b, and c, two other V-shaped irons of length and width can be formed. There are 4 cone support columns 3, which are guaranteed by the process when processing.
Plain washers, which spread a load, and prevent damage to the surface being fixed, or provide some sort of insulation such as electrical
Spring washers, which have axial flexibility and are used to prevent fastening or loosening due to vibrations
Locking washers, which prevent fastening or loosening by preventing unscrewing rotation of the fastening device; locking washers are usually also spring washers.
Materials
Washers can be fabricated from a variety of materials including, but not limited to:[23]
Phenolic – The material has good electrical insulation, is lightweight, tough, has low moisture absorption, is heat resistant, and is resistant to chemicals and corrosion. Phenolic washers are substitutes for flat metallic washers in cases where electrical insulation is required. Phenolic washers are stamped out of large sheets of the phenolic material. The term [phenolic washer" is sometimes used for stamped washers from laminated materials such as paper, canvas, and Mylar.
