Energy-efficient energy monitoring and management technology effectively improves machine tool efficiency
During the operation of the machine, most of the time is in the standby, stop or idle state, not the cutting state. Comprehensive and efficient energy management technology based on software services can make machine tools more energy efficient during production and use. There are many software related to energy management on the market, such as DMG ENERGY Saving software and services of DMG, which cover a wide range of technologies, and the key technologies are important for the energy efficiency improvement of green machine tools. (1) Virtual machine optimization technology This technology is machined to the same virtual machine as the actual machine before actual machining to check and optimize the NC program. Its core is to ensure that the process is flawless, so that the best inspection and planning of the production process, minimize the preparation time and avoid waste, thus greatly improving the overall efficiency and utilization of the machine. Figure 1 is the virtual machine technology of DMG. (2) Automated energy management technology DMG AUTOShutdown can customize the CNC system standby parameters, similar to our usual laptop power saving mode. The general machine tool usually keeps working after the machining task is completed, and the automatic closing function of the technology can control the machine to enter the sleep state, thereby minimizing energy consumption. In addition, the function module can also support wake-up and warm-up functions, control the machine to enter the working state at the set time and preheat to the operating temperature. (3) Process monitoring technology Software-based process monitoring technology allows operators to obtain detailed energy usage of the process, thereby balancing energy consumption with materials and economy. For example, OMAT's OMATIVESYSTEM from Israel, the product can monitor the load of the spindle during machining, save machining time by adjusting the feedrate of the feed axis, and thus save energy consumption during milling, as shown in Figure 2. With this system, the feed rate can be instantly adjusted to optimize it, and the entire actual machining condition can be continuously monitored, which can save about 30% of the roughing time.
