1 Introduction

2 CIMS Engineering Principles

2.1 The Connotation of CIMS The concept of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) was first proposed by Dr. Joseph Harrington of the United States in 1973. The basic idea is:

Through the system integration, the isolated automation subsystems dispersed in the product design and manufacturing process are organically linked to form an integration suitable for multi-variety and small batch production to achieve overall benefits. And intelligent manufacturing systems. Integration reflects the breadth of automation, extending the scope of the system to the entire process of market forecasting, product design, manufacturing, inspection, sales and after-sales services. Intelligentization reflects the depth of automation. It not only involves the traditional manual labor automation of material flow control, but also the automation of mental work controlled by information flow control.

The CIMS subject expert group of China's 863 Program puts forward the concept of new computer integrated manufacturing based on the national conditions: "Computer integrated manufacturing is a concept of organization, management and operation of enterprises. Correspondingly, China's CIMS has changed to "Contemporary Integrated Manufacturing" and "Contemporary Integrated Manufacturing System", which has expanded the connotation of the original CIM/CIMS in breadth and depth. Among them, the meaning of "modern" is computerization, informationization, and intelligence. "Integration" has a wider range of content, including three stages of integration of information integration, process integration and inter-enterprise integration; integration of three elements and three streams in enterprise activities; integration of CIMS-related technologies and various personnel Integration optimization, etc.

These three elements interact and restrict each other, so that manufacturing enterprises achieve global optimization. The three elements constitute a type 4 integration problem. Among them, the integration of business management and technology supports the company to achieve the expected business objectives. The integration of people/organizations and technologies allows them to work together, coordinate and maximize efficiency. The integration of people/organization and management is to support the operation and management of enterprises through the improvement of personnel quality and the improvement of organizational structure. Finally, the integration of people/organization, management and technology is realized, which enables the company to achieve overall optimization. The key to CIMS is to integrate and implement CIMS enterprises. 2.2 Differences between process industry and discrete industry CIMS Generally speaking, different manufacturing products produce different products, and their production methods, production processes and business methods are also different. The process industry mainly includes chemical, oil refining, papermaking, metallurgy and other industries. Most of these industries are mass-produced, the production process is continuous, the production process is basically unchanged, and the flow of materials and energy is continuous. Due to the unique real-time nature of this continuous production process in the process industry, the necessity of information acquisition is determined. It is the characteristics of the process industry that determine the difference between it and the composition of discrete industrial CIMS. 4 aspects:
