The world’s largest astronomical telescope lens is made of nickel-aluminum-silicon alloy
According to a recent report by the US “Advanced Materials and Process Technology†magazine, the world's largest astronomical telescope project jointly developed by the United States, Italy, and Germany uses nickel-aluminum-silicon-alloyed materials to make lenses more clearly visible, and applied optics and precision in Germany. The researchers of the Franhofer Institute of Engineering provided this report. The new aluminum-silicon alloy is designed to meet the thermal expansion coefficient of nickel and can be used to manufacture very stable lightweight structures. The use of such nickel-aluminum-silicon alloys for the manufacture of puller lenses is the first application and innovation of optical components. The two lenses have a diameter of 8 meters and a resolution of 23 meters. Jiangmen Faer Sanitary Co.,Ltd , https://www.faersanitarys.com
