At the same time, the data released showed that the average price of gasoline in the United States last week fell by 11.1 cents from the previous week to 3.85 US dollars/gallon.

However, according to a weekly survey conducted by the Department of Energy on gas stations, the retail gasoline price in the United States is still $1.06 per gallon higher than the same period last year.
