On April 28, 2008, the China National Standardization Administration (SAC) issued the national standard "Safety of Portable Electrical Tools Part II: Special Requirements for Bench Grinding Machines". This standard applies to portable bench grinders cut with grinding wheels. The main content involves signs and instructions, protection against electric shock hazards, electrical connections, moisture resistance, mechanical hazards, components and other requirements.
